Ye Yan Yu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Salazar in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Cadáveres Voladores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Wedemeyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Wenzel Winter sent off a good shot on target. Xavier Salazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ye Yan Yu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 41st minute of the match. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xavier Salazar to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Salazar came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 played minutes Cadáveres Voladores got a freekick which was hit by Liu Gang Jian. With a little luck, Cadáveres Voladores's Ye Yan Yu got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Cadáveres Voladores's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cadáveres Voladores's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cadáveres Voladores's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Ye Yan Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ye Yan Yu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ye Yan Yu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 97th minute of the match. The Cadáveres Voladores fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
