When Tigran Kirakosyan came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Khachatryan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tigran Kirakosyan couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 10 in the game by Zé Augusto Souza from a close distance when the talented Pedro Manzanares managed to make a qualified save. Colombia's players were relieved. In the 18th minute, Merlin Castro made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Merlin Castro got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Khachatryan's Jermaine Richmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jermaine Richmond was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Jermaine Richmond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Paulíny in the 40th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jermaine Richmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 47th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Richmond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Khachatryan's Hu Wei Shu was substituted for Tigran Kirakosyan. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Merlin Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute Cesar Holland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Khachatryan booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Merlin Castro notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 74th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Garrido to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Garrido. 76 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Holland came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merlin Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sung McKinley in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rdth minute of the game Merlin Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Jermaine Richmond successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 87th minute, Sung McKinley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Khachatryan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Colombia's Abram Secada managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cesar Holland in the 90 minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Merlin Castro went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Khachatryan had won after a very even match.
