With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Luo Ying Liang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enrico Longo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Enrico Longo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 34 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. In the 34th minute Luo Ying Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luo Ying Liang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th match minute, AFA Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Tasso to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luo Ying Liang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. When Su Jian Lin fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFA Club's protests and gave Su Jian Lin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AFA Club's Su Jian Lin got a free kick in the 58th minute. If Luo Ying Liang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafinha Barral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, AFA Club's Enrico Longo got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The AFA Club support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
