In the 5th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Brent Walton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Jonas Wiseman sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Walton in the 18th minute of play. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Sylvester Riggs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Walter Olivera got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute, Aaron Alcocer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Reed having to make a save. The Costa Rica fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆ defense, Eliseo Noboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Reed. The ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Reed should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Simon Reed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Simon Reed got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 67th minute of play forced ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s goalkeeper Simon Reed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s attentive Walter Olivera managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. Simon Reed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Simon Reed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 83rd minute of play. Eliseo Noboa had several of the ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Simon Reed as he didn't even see the shot coming. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match, Axel Tasis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Simon Reed was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Simon Reed proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆ from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Costa Rica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆.
