In the 23rd minute Zygmunt Pruss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cassius Byrne in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zbyszko Plachetka, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by unicestwiacze's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. In the 26th minute, Zygmunt Pruss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zbyszko Plachetka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Edward Mcdonald got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zbyszko Plachetka was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 32nd minute. Cassius Byrne made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that unicestwiacze's Zbyszko Plachetka managed to reach the ball for a save. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Pruss in the 34th minute of the match. The corner led unicestwiacze's Sylwester Wojtowicz to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zbyszko Plachetka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 42nd minute of the match. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Zbyszko Plachetka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. USA were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
