In the 12th minute, Lautaro Mancebo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emilio Munio. The goal made the score 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Federico Colas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Mexico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Acercate Y Patea de Lejos:s goal. The referee gave Acercate Y Patea de Lejos a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jose Gipuzkoa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. 1-2. Federico Colas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the game, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Federico Colas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 37th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilio Munio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. 54 minutes into the match, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Emilio Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 played minutes Acercate Y Patea de Lejos got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Jatsu. In the 61st minute Damian Su shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Federico Colas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-4. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos made a substitution. Danilo Errolan replaced Damian Su. After 70 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilio Munio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Emilio Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 82nd minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emilio Munio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kraig Rowley in the 88th minute of the match.
