Wlodzimierz Rutecki hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Boreham Wood FC's Karol Sitko in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Boreham Wood FC's Karol Sitko shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 15th match minute, Boreham Wood FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Niedziela to maneuver through the defense. Boreham Wood FC's Karol Komanski got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Wlodzimierz Kilarski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 minutes of play Costa Rica's Alan Moruga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 39th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Karol Sitko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karol Sitko in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Karol Sitko made the kick off in the second half. Karol Sitko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Karol Sitko slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 54th minute. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karol Sitko's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Karol Sitko sent off a good shot on target. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Karol Sitko came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Boreham Wood FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karol Sitko couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Damian Niedziela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Hugo Ferrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Boreham Wood FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 79th minute. A hard shot 82 in the game by Karol Sitko from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. 83 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Niedziela. After 86 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 89th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Juliusz Popowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boreham Wood FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juliusz Popowicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Boreham Wood FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kaznocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karol Sitko scored 0-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boreham Wood FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
