With an all-out effort, Mexico's Qin Ang Cheng threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Almiro Seabra hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Qin Ang Cheng was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Gaona. After 59 played minutes Internacional de Lisboa got a freekick which was hit by Donatien Bidart. In the 61st minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Internacional de Lisboa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexico's Macos Graciani was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Qin Ang Cheng in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Qin Ang Cheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 63rd minute, Jan Hendrik Saarberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. With 69 minutes on the clock, Artur Lage commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Internacional de Lisboa! In the 73rd minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Qin Ang Cheng was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Qin Ang Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 90th minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Pimentel hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Qin Ang Cheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Internacional de Lisboa got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Carreira.
