Jaime Pardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikael Österberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jesper Odén made the kick off in the second half. Ludvig Bäcklin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Jaime Pardo put it in 12-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mikael Österberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 85th minute of play forced The Alliance's goalkeeper Mikael Österberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikael Österberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 86th minute of the match. In the 94thth minute of the game Hector Covarrubias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Alliance's Mikael Österberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Hector Covarrubias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Paraguay had played much better football throughout.
