The referee ignored Boreham Wood FC's protests and gave Miroslaw Mindykowski a yellow card for diving instead. Karol Sitko's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karol Sitko helped the player get up and apologised. Karol Sitko hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of Honduras booed when Boreham Wood FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kaznocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wlodzimierz Kilarski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edmundo Espiga. 13 minutes into the match, Boreham Wood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Wlodzimierz Kilarski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boreham Wood FC's Wlodzimierz Kilarski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Boreham Wood FC's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Kilarski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Villa. In the 21st minute, Honduras's Sebastian Villa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wlodzimierz Kilarski. Wlodzimierz Kilarski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Milagros Cabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wlodzimierz Kilarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Boreham Wood FC's Wlodzimierz Kilarski got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Juliusz Popowicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilbert Sakowicz during the 39th minute. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Sitko in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. Wlodzimierz Kilarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 63rd minute of play forced Boreham Wood FC's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Kilarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wlodzimierz Kilarski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some careless play in the Boreham Wood FC defense, Sebastian Villa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wlodzimierz Kilarski. The Boreham Wood FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wlodzimierz Kilarski should have stopped the shot. Luca Espinar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Wlodzimierz Kilarski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Damian Niedziela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wlodzimierz Kilarski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The supporters of Boreham Wood FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Ocampo didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
