In the 14th minute of the match Equipo got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Equipo's corner Juliusz Cezar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Bruno Beugnet took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Beugnet in the 26th minute of the match. Unai Papachronopoulos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Manzanares firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ismael Furman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Equipo's Jairo Zambrano got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

Equipo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
