Loco Malo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Figueroa came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Cleto Firmin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes in the game, Cleto Firmin dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Cleto Firmin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Clemencin Duran in the 15 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ma Mo Feng in the 17th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th match minute, Lagrima en Jarrita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Figueroa to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Teodosio Figueroa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 1-1. The supporters of Peru booed when Lagrima en Jarrita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Karanowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cleto Firmin to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of play forced Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Loco Malo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lagrima en Jarrita's Kong Hao Xi was substituted for Cleto Firmin. The throw-in from Domingos Gaitan in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Lagrima en Jarrita's Loco Malo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Lagrima en Jarrita from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 69th minute. Domingos Gaitan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Loco Malo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Mina. With an all-out effort, Peru's Loco Malo threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Gallo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Gallo got free with Loco Malo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
