Zach Harrison charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zach Harrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zach Harrison kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Caco Araújo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Ferrão in the 10th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Straedelburgh got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Vilas Boas. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aderbal Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 47 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jacob May. A collision led to Straedelburgh getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Karl-Michael Helström hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. Aderbal Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zach Harrison to maneuver through the defense. Caco Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Ferrão in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Marcos Vilas Boas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Straedelburgh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Aderbal Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Ferrão came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. In the 81st minute of the match Straedelburgh got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Caco Araújo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of USA's goalie and right to Karl-Michael Helström. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. USA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Pinheiro in the 87th minute of the match. After 88 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Caco Araújo who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khalid Parry in the 90th minute of play forced Straedelburgh's goalkeeper Aderbal Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sam Campbell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Helström, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute Karl-Michael Helström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
