Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prudencio Bilbo's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 7th minute of play forced AFTER GYM FC's goalkeeper Ovidiu Acatincăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, AFTER GYM FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ovidiu Acatincăi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFTER GYM FC's Ovidiu Acatincăi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuel Reyes in the 12th minute of play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Acatincăi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Prudencio Bilbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 26th minute of play forced AFTER GYM FC's goalkeeper Ovidiu Acatincăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronald Araújo made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Ovidiu Acatincăi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Acatincăi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFTER GYM FC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eustaquio Bazkoare took the corner. 44 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidiu Acatincăi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prudencio Bilbo in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ovidiu Acatincăi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Ovidiu Acatincăi in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Bilbo in the 55th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFTER GYM FC's Eustaquio Bazkoare was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, AFTER GYM FC's Ronald Araújo got a free kick in the 70th minute. AFTER GYM FC made a substitution. Antonio Sergi replaced Ragnar Wingaard. The supporters of Peru booed when AFTER GYM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Acatincăi made a huge save. 81 minutes into the match, AFTER GYM FC's Robert Rutkowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo.
