Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Gloria Bistrita's Damian Piechocki. But to his dismay, Damian Piechocki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Tudose in the 25th minute of play. Marco Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Ferman, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Moises Fernandino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gloria Bistrita the free kick. Moises Fernandino hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Gloria Bistrita's goalkeeper Paul Miclescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Abram Luque hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Tudose in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Gloria Bistrita's goalkeeper Paul Miclescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Bogdan Tudose might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogdan Tudose ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Tudose in the 47th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Ferman took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Marcos Ferman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogdan Tudose in the 63rd minute. Paul Miclescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 72nd minute of the match. Damian Piechocki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Ferman in the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Tudose got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Miclescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The Gloria Bistrita fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Gloria Bistrita's Marcos Ferman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The El Salvador supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gloria Bistrita's performance. The match ended with a win for Gloria Bistrita.
