Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Miniș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Miniș in the 4th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Zurawski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Ponte in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Vlad Miniș came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Miniș in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Tornadele Siret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Flintașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ricardinho Lopes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tornadele Siret's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Ricardinho Lopes, making the score, 1-0. Julio Vera didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Tornadele Siret's Aquilino Ponte shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquilino Ponte's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Tornadele Siret's Ali Emir Işıklar got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Aquilino Ponte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aquilino Ponte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Ponte in the 65th minute of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Tornadele Siret's Aquilino Ponte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Ponte in the 79th minute of the match. Vlad Miniș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aquilino Ponte 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Chants of Tornadele Siret echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
