Valério Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honduras's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Régis Porto 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Marco Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Marco Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 48th minute of play forced Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Hoffmann made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Valério Monteiro. Valério Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulinho Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério Monteiro saved Agroboys SM - CIMZ from getting behind. In the 62ndth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Valério Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 minutes, Marco Hoffmann made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Hoffmann in the 66th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Correia came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Tião de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valério Monteiro was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 86th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner ended in Christian Sancho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Valério Monteiro did a great save. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Agroboys SM - CIMZ throughout the match.
