Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Betão Vargas kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes SE Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Corrêa. In the 7th minute Betão Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SE Palestra Itália were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bruno Dias took the corner. The corner led SE Palestra Itália's Bruno Dias to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 10th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tony Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 24th minute of play forced SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Tony Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 27th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Chaves. Tony Chaves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Chile booed when SE Palestra Itália was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clayton Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clayton Sergi in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Betão Vargas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 47 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tony Chaves quite easily take care of the ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Vargas in the 54th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Sergi in the 55th minute of play. Tony Chaves made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SE Palestra Itália's goalie and right to Pedro Indiano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SE Palestra Itália's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 65th minute of the match SE Palestra Itália got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Richard Mendes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Richard Mendes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 67th minute, Francisco Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Betão Vargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. SE Palestra Itália were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard Mendes took the corner. 75 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Tony Chaves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Tony Chaves made a huge save. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by SE Palestra Itália's Richard Mendes. But to his dismay, Richard Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Vargas in the 86th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tony Chaves firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tony Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Casaus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the SE Palestra Itália defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Chaves. The SE Palestra Itália fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Chaves should have stopped the shot. In the 96th match minute, SE Palestra Itália was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Campon to maneuver through the defense. Chile's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
