After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Artur Borubar quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th minute, Radoslaw Michalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kajetan Pruss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Artur Borubar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 23 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Sebastián Puig came free, but Artur Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Borubar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Radoslaw Michalski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Borubar was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Borubar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Artur Borubar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play. A collision led to Rothenburg SSA getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tomasz Jajecznica hit a great ball.

After a defensive mix-up in Rothenburg SSA's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Borubar came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucjan Golaszewski was slow to take the kick. During this time Rothenburg SSA's players had a chance to rest. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piotr Kociniewski in the 63rd minute of play. Artur Borubar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of play. Rothenburg SSA's Antoni Grondzki was substituted for Tomasz Jajecznica. Rothenburg SSA's Szczepan Zielinski was substituted for Zachariasz Ratulowski. Tomasz Jajecznica kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artur Borubar. Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 77 minutes, Antoni Grondzki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rothenburg SSA and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, one of Rothenburg SSA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rothenburg SSA. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rothenburg SSA's Artur Borubar. 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Borubar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A well done corner resulted in Agustín Saelices drilling the ball in to score 0-5 behind Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radoslaw Michalski in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 97th minute of play forced Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper Artur Borubar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rothenburg SSA.
