In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulinho Moraes's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulinho Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. Valério Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Edmundo Espiga sped through Agroboys SM - CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valério Monteiro. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Valério Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Agroboys SM - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Freitas. The supporters of Honduras booed when Agroboys SM - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 minutes, Tião de Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agroboys SM - CIMZ and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tião de Amaral hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When Jardel Correia fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agroboys SM - CIMZ's protests and gave Jardel Correia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Agroboys SM - CIMZ getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jardel Correia hit a great ball. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Giuseppe Machado with Paulinho Moraes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The crowd rose to their feet as Honduras's Edmundo Espiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valério Monteiro. That made the score 0-4 after 60 minutes of play. In the 62nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Espiga to maneuver through the defense. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Hoffmann in the 69th minute of play. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valério Monteiro. Valério Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 76 minutes into the match, Marco Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. In the 80th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute of the match Jardel Correia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro skillfully saved the ball. Giuseppe Machado made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Giuseppe Machado made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Paulinho Moraes however managed to control. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
