Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jerônimo Mangueira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ivan Xabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanni Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. If Zé Roberto Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Júbilo Iwata's Zé Roberto Velasco got a free kick in the 34th minute. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerônimo Mangueira in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Zé Roberto Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Júbilo Iwata's Zé Roberto Velasco got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Xabier came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sandro de Barros who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Xabier during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Júbilo Iwata's Ivan Xabier got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 70 played minutes Júbilo Iwata got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Bittencourt. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jerônimo Mangueira sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Júbilo Iwata's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Pena came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Júbilo Iwata were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
