Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 2nd minute of play forced Júbilo Iwata's goalkeeper Giovanni Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. A hard shot 8 in the game by Jerônimo Mangueira from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. If Zé Roberto Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giovanni Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of the match. Giovanni Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play. Jerônimo Mangueira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerônimo Mangueira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. In the 29th minute, Ivan Xabier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Júbilo Iwata's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Giovanni Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júbilo Iwata's Mazinho Correia suffered a sore knee after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 35 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Júbilo Iwata players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Júbilo Iwata's Sandro de Barros shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. 39 minutes into the game, Rafinha Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Júbilo Iwata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Júbilo Iwata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Jerônimo Mangueira made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jerônimo Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Giovanni Pena in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Xabier in the 55th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerônimo Mangueira in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Júbilo Iwata's Giovanni Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Júbilo Iwata from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Luís Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Xabier in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Rafinha Velasco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Giovanni Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Pena having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Mangueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jerônimo Mangueira scored 4-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovanni Pena made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After 94 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Xabier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Júbilo Iwata fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
