Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gervasio Ixaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 5th minute of the match. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Joel Gaona put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gervasio Ixaka. Gervasio Ixaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Rafa Santos Borré sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 28th minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vipos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Luca Rouco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 33rd minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Ixaka. Vipos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Rafa Santos Borré could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 39th minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Luca Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervasio Ixaka was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After having played for 48 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vipos FC made a substitution. Mayer Candelo replaced Gaspar Acuña. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fidel Jokin made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Jokin in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Castanheira during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Vipos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Castanheira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Rafa Santos Borré stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Rafa Santos Borré tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Fidel Jokin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Jokin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 70 minutes into the game, Miguel Castanheira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Cadaval. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 75th minute. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Vipos FC's Gervasio Ixaka managed to reach the ball for a save. Gervasio Ixaka came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. In the 87th minute Miguel Castanheira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gervasio Ixaka could save by the left post. After 91 played minutes Luca Zorita rounded Vipos FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
