Szczepan Opat charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Szczepan Opat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Szczepan Opat hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes, Cristian Sancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the SS SuperSonics players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SS SuperSonics defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugon Lenertej. The SS SuperSonics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugon Lenertej should have stopped the shot.
