Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 9 minutes, Mateo Leguizamo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Pinheiros Capibaras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhonny Rabelo in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Jhonny Rabelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Jhonny Rabelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Ricardo Zorita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Silvinho Quintal scored 2-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvinho Quintal was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Marco Tamayo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Pinheiros Capibaras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Jorge Magrina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 66 minutes, Jhonny Rabelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jhonny Rabelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Tang Quan Yan made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Quintal in the 71st minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Yepes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Narciso Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Narciso Mendes took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 93 minutes into the match, Silvinho Quintal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvinho Quintal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. When Narciso Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Pinheiros Capibaras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Mendes couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pinheiros Capibaras FC fully deserved thier win.
