Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Karol Sitko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boreham Wood FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Gilbert Sakowicz took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karol Sitko's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. With a little luck, Boreham Wood FC's Wlodzimierz Kilarski got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Sitko in the 32nd minute of play. Tytus Juroszek's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tytus Juroszek helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Tytus Juroszek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Boreham Wood FC's Wlodzimierz Kilarski got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wlodzimierz Kilarski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 39th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karol Sitko was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Gilbert Sakowicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boreham Wood FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Gilbert Sakowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslaw Mindykowski in the 56th minute of play. Wlodzimierz Kilarski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Sitko in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. When Gilbert Sakowicz came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Boreham Wood FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilbert Sakowicz couldn't finish the play. Wlodzimierz Kilarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jan Kaznocha kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Sakowicz in the 81st minute of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Niedziela in the 83rd minute of play. A hard shot 87 in the game by Karol Sitko from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. After 87 minutes, Jan Kaznocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boreham Wood FC and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 played minutes Boreham Wood FC got a freekick which was hit by Jan Kaznocha. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Juliusz Popowicz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Boreham Wood FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juliusz Popowicz couldn't finish the play. Boreham Wood FC played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
