Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's Nestor Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 4th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Linhares to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Machado in the 51st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Linhares in the 61st minute of play. Alan Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nestor Paraibano. That made the score 0-5 after 65 minutes of play. Alan Machado took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Felipe Ros's late challenge caught a Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Ros helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Magnifico FC - FSCMZ a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Richard Senna, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. 2-5. Juninho Donato hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Panama's Alberto Sainz was substituted for Aaron Barrios. In the 82nd minute, Richard Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's zone, Alex Cambeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Paraibano came out of the goal and Alex Cambeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. When the match was over Panama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Magnifico FC - FSCMZ throughout the match.
