Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Stiinta-Univ.'s Okan Koc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aurel Panait kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Eliseo Mina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Martin Crețu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Okan Koc came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Milagros Fraga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Crețu. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Milagros Fraga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. Benjamim Urbano made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Crețu saved Stiinta-Univ. from getting behind. In the 25th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute Shi Ming Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okan Koc in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Stiinta-Univ. got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Virgil Oargă ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Stiinta-Univ.'s corner Virgil Oargă fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. In the 34th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shi Ming Sheng to maneuver through the defense. Martin Crețu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Crețu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stiinta-Univ.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Eliseo Mina scored to the left of an out of position Martin Crețu, making the score, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Martin Crețu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Crețu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Crețu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Valeriu Morovan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 7-1. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Valeriu Morovan kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Stiinta-Univ.'s zone, Antonio Tenorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Crețu came out of the goal and Antonio Tenorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Peru players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
