Ponc Caballero made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edelmiro Calvo immediately put the ball in play. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dabi Vila to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo-Enrique Alabern in the 52nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los once leones Ourense's zone, Milagros Fraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Unzueta came out of the goal and Milagros Fraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute Dabi Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the game, Los once leones Ourense's Nereo Cacheres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 77 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albano Unzueta. Los once leones Ourense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Antonio Tenorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dabi Vila in the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Los once leones Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Albano Unzueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
