Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doriva Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Jucuitiba getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Benjamim Simão hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner ended in Juan Sebastián Puig almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Jucuitiba's goalkeeper Doriva Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Jucuitiba got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Galvão. In the 21st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Agüero in the 22nd minute of play. Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play forced Jucuitiba's goalkeeper Doriva Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute. Jucuitiba's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Doriva Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play forced Jucuitiba's goalkeeper Doriva Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Jucuitiba from getting a goal against them. Jucuitiba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Doriva Figueiredo, making the score, 0-2. With a little luck, Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 70th minute, Luis Andino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Doriva Figueiredo, passed just outside the right post. Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Jucuitiba from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Agüero in the 78th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doriva Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Róbson Abreu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador played a much better game than Jucuitiba and deserved their victory. The Jucuitiba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
