Albano Unzueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albano Unzueta saved Los once leones Ourense from getting behind. Ponc Caballero got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nereo Cacheres. In the 13th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albano Unzueta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Cacheres in the 23rd minute of play. Pablo-Enrique Alabern scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Urdin Castan charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urdin Castan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Los once leones Ourense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urdin Castan to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Nereo Cacheres sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. The goalkeeper, Rolando Noboa, was totally fooled by Los once leones Ourense's Nereo Cacheres, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dabi Vila to make the kick off. The supporters of Peru booed when Los once leones Ourense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Calvo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milagros Fraga came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Albano Unzueta could save by the left post. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albano Unzueta firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dabi Vila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Albano Unzueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Cacheres in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Nereo Cacheres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Noboa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Milagros Fraga might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albano Unzueta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milagros Fraga ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Albano Unzueta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urdin Castan in the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Dabi Vila came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. With a little luck, Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Albano Unzueta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
