In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Trabzon Sk's goalkeeper Görkem Büyükada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. İlkan Barlas kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Real Trabzon Sk's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Görkem Büyükada came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner led Real Trabzon Sk's Orhan Veli Tankut to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Real Trabzon Sk's Zekeriya Özbekkan got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddie Murphy in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the game, Ali Macit Salman threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Jose Correa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 41st minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddie Murphy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Real Trabzon Sk's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Görkem Büyükada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zekeriya Özbekkan's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Murphy in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Eddie Murphy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute, Eddie Murphy made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 88th match minute, Real Trabzon Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Macit Salman to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saffet Akdağ in the 91st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Real Trabzon Sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. İlkan Barlas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
