The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Coice de Mula's Franklin Moraes was substituted for Elano Salgado. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Coice de Mula succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
