Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Jarbas Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jarbas Siqueira was the one to do the kick off. Alfredão Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marxistas's Vladimir Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Marxistas from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marxistas's Vladimir Costa did a great save. Vladimir Costa made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Vladimir Costa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vladimir Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Sancho during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vladimir Costa in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Costa having to interfere. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Vladimir Costa made a huge save. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vladimir Costa quite easily take care of the ball. 92 minutes into the match, João Pedro de Amorim notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
