The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Tono got free with Ricardo Zorita in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Desiderio Flor made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentin Feo went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score.
