Andréas Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 8th minute of the match. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gedeon Káposztás in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Selman Pektaşi was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio Papão de WC's players had a chance to rest. Grêmio Papão de WC's Marcus de Godoi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gedeon Káposztás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Andréas Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob May in the 18th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Diego Bradley in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grêmio Papão de WC's Marcus de Godoi. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes Filip Mika shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Marco Day when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Andréas Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41stth minute of the game Cassius Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Papão de WC's Eugênio Fontes got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 45 played minutes Grêmio Papão de WC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Marquez. Zach Harrison kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's Selman Pektaşi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andréas Linquist having to interfere. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andréas Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jenson Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Grêmio Papão de WC fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Grêmio Papão de WC's Rodrigo Muniz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Many of USA's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. USA may have spent more time on the ball, but Grêmio Papão de WC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
