Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Jakue in the 16th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Maximo Horquizar made a huge save. In the 24th minute, Isaias Jakue got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximo Horquizar having to make a save. In the 30th minute, Filcho Kordov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32ndth minute Mariano Lacasa easily got through Sporting Buceo's defense and fired away a shot, but Maximo Horquizar leaped left and performed a fabulous save. After 33 minutes Sporting Buceo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Guillermo Fontirroig got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maximo Horquizar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Jakue in the 39th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Jakue in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaias Jakue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Juan Sartori got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Charly Good took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 72nd minute of play forced Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Maximo Horquizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xinto Carreiras in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. After 81 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Horquizar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximo Horquizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 86th minute of play. Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of play.
