Zachary Parzysz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Lino Budimir managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Chicote in the 11 minute of the game. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachary Parzysz in the 18th minute of the match. Elder de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder de Toledo having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachary Parzysz in the 22nd minute of the match. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Chicote helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Zachary Parzysz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Zachary Parzysz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elder de Toledo came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Elder de Toledo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
