The crowd rose to their feet as Abram Luque kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dagoberto Vander. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. A collision led to Iron Maiden Football OFF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Zé Paulo Sá hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Luque got free with Dagoberto Vander in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dagoberto Vander made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Dagoberto Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. When Mateo Leguizamo fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Mateo Leguizamo a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Leguizamo. Iron Maiden Football OFF's Dagoberto Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 24th minute of play. Dagoberto Vander came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Abram Luque. But to his dismay, Abram Luque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 31 minutes into the game, Moises Fernandino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dagoberto Vander. Moises Fernandino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 38 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden Football OFF's goalkeeper Dagoberto Vander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dagoberto Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. Maurinho Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Vander having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Moises Fernandino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dagoberto Vander was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 60th minute Jorge Magrina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Vergílio in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Iron Maiden Football OFF got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maurinho Neves ran over to the corner to take the kick. Iron Maiden Football OFF's Dagoberto Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Iron Maiden Football OFF's zone, Abram Luque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dagoberto Vander came out of the goal and Abram Luque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, El Salvador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luisinho Vergílio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Moises Fernandino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dagoberto Vander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dagoberto Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Luque, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play.
