Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Östersunds FK's Greger Collin got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ragnar Vennersten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Östersunds FK's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ragnar Vennersten, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ragnar Vennersten let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 40th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. If Richard Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball.

Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Vennersten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Vennersten in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Richard Pettersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Östersunds FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Pettersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Östersunds FK's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Rudkvist came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Vennersten in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Vennersten in the 63rd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Östersunds FK's goalkeeper Niklas Rudkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Niklas Rudkvist made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After 77 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Östersunds FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niklas Rudkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivar Ivarsson hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ivar Ivarsson got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Greger Collin. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ragnar Vennersten went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Östersunds FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Hake didn't get a good kick on the ball.
