Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kleon Sfakianakis ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Hermengildo Ishmael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Camilo Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Alberto Gisbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Lazarou having to interfere. Vassilis Giannakopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Hermengildo Ishmael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Ishmael had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermengildo Ishmael was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hermengildo Ishmael took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Hermengildo Ishmael made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Dimitris Loukanidis took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. A sloppy throw-in by Vassilis Giannakopoulos in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. In the 42nd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Lazarou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! After the first half Punisher were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermengildo Ishmael made a kick off. Hermengildo Ishmael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Ishmael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Punisher's Hermengildo Ishmael fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Theodosis Petrochilos made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Hermengildo Ishmael however managed to control. Hermengildo Ishmaels short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Francisco Seco hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Punisher was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iason Sofianopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Punisher's Ilias Lazarou. Ilias Lazarou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After taking down the ball on Punisher's corner Theodosis Petrochilos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joaquin Gayoso quite easily take care of the ball. Hermengildo Ishmael's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 86th minute, Hermengildo Ishmael made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. After a rather tough play, Punisher's Nikos Bernidakis got a free kick in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Ishmael in the 94th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Theodosis Petrochilos was slow to take the kick. During this time Punisher's players had a chance to rest. The Uruguay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Punisher's performance. The match ended with a win for Punisher.
