With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilias Lazarou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theodosis Petrochilos made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vassilis Giannakopoulos immediately put the ball in play. Thanks to some nice moves Hermengildo Ishmael could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Hermengildo Ishmaels short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Theodosis Petrochilos hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Ishmael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Punisher's Hermengildo Ishmael. But to his dismay, Hermengildo Ishmael quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Kleon Sfakianakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Kleon Sfakianakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vassilis Giannakopoulos got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dimitris Loukanidis. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
