After 28 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rogério Vieira who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Paraíba got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a New Loser FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Nunes in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Karhan Siralp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th minute Karhan Siralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when New Loser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Patricio Costa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Karhan Siralp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karhan Siralp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janar Lehismets made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karhan Siralp in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Paraíba in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New Loser FC made a substitution. Sidney Botelho replaced Dobromir Bienienda. Venezuela's Alex Chicote managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rogério Vieira in the 91 minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karhan Siralp, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joakim Asserlind was slow to take the kick. During this time New Loser FC's players had a chance to rest. New Loser FC's Joakim Asserlind was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karhan Siralp in the 96th minute of play. New Loser FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
