A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Primitivo Escribano hit a great ball. Robert Andrzejewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. After 9 minutes, Robert Andrzejewski made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszek Zjawin in the 12th minute of the match. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszek Zjawin in the 18th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Covarrubias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Robert Domalik made a huge save. Zbyszek Zjawin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Domalik having to interfere. After some careless play in the Chopina Wejherowo defense, Jaime Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Domalik. The Chopina Wejherowo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Domalik should have stopped the shot. Chopina Wejherowo's Robert Andrzejewski got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Robert Domalik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Andrzejewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zbyszek Zjawin struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chopina Wejherowo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 68th minute of play forced Chopina Wejherowo's goalkeeper Robert Domalik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Robert Andrzejewski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobo Nores. That made the score 1-3 in the 73 minute of play. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Andrzejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Paraguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Chopina Wejherowo to win.
