In the 5th match minute, Alco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Kihlberg to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Alco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Forssberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskar Kolberg struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alco FC. In the 26th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskar Kolberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delmiro Filipo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 34th match minute, Alco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Kihlberg to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Alco FC's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Filipo came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Rudkvist got free with Benito Sanz in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. The Alco FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Costa Rica were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Delmiro Filipo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 50th minute. Olof Kihlberg hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Delmiro Filipo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th play minute Lautaro Puig came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Delmiro Filipo. 0-3. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Delmiro Filipo made a huge save. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Alco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Rudkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Oskar Kolberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Filipo having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Alco FC's Oskar Kolberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Kolberg in the 87th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costa Rica's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
