The corner went over the outstretched arms of Chopina Wejherowo's goalie and right to Hector Covarrubias. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Chopina Wejherowo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Robert Domalik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Robert Andrzejewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Chopina Wejherowo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwo Wolicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Marco Simone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Domalik made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. If Marco Simone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Covarrubias couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the match, Chopina Wejherowo's Robert Andrzejewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Chopina Wejherowo's Jacobo Nores threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zbyszek Zjawin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Xavier Zoido kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Chopina Wejherowo's Robert Andrzejewski shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 80th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jacobo Nores but with some difficulty. Jaime Pardo scored 2-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Domalik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Domalik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Robert Andrzejewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save.
