Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Salemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Corleone who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 22nd minute of the match Savicevic Show got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fortunato Verdini ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Savicevic Show's Christian Iannone getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Corleone in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Savicevic Show's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Armando Salemme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Salemme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 40 minutes Savicevic Show's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armando Salemme quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Armando Salemme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Tafalla's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The supporters of Savicevic Show booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Corleone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Moriggi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Salemme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Joel Gaona charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Gaona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Savicevic Show's Fortunato Tomasso was substituted for Ettore Moriggi. In the 67th minute, Joel Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Tomasso in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Savicevic Show's goalkeeper Armando Salemme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play forced Savicevic Show's goalkeeper Armando Salemme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Savicevic Show booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Savicevic Show had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
