Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Herblay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Ludomil Kajdasz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 15th minute, Noureddine Gerbeau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes Herblay got a freekick which was hit by Sylvain Missonnier. In the 18th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Kajdasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ludomil Kajdasz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ludomil Kajdasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaud Konieczny. Ludomil Kajdasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match, Arnaud Konieczny got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 34th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonin Dagorne in the 41st minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Antonin Dagorne took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51st minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ludomil Kajdasz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Ludomil Kajdasz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ludomil Kajdasz made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo scored 1-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ludomil Kajdasz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
