Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jon Hesjedal during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Jon Hesjedal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. Rune Gjessing kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Christer Waaler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Jon Hesjedal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Christer Waaler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 39th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Ånestad. In the 44th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dan Ødegaard fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åsnes's protests and gave Dan Ødegaard a yellow card for diving instead. Dan Ødegaard kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The Åsnes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Rune Gjessing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsnes and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rune Gjessing kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Åsnes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento scored to the left of an out of position Christer Waaler, making the score, 0-2. In the 56th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes of play, Panama's Abraham Alguacil made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christer Waaler was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Åsnes's Christer Waaler got control of the ball when Tomas Berganza tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christer Waaler was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Tomas Berganza put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Christer Waaler. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 79th minute of play. Tomas Berganza hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morten Hestad in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Waaler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aleksander Ånestad kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Gjessing in the 93rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
