After a defensive mix-up in Pretorianos FC's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marciano Idacio came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pretorianos FC made a substitution. Primitivo Neron replaced Adan Pueblo. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Pretorianos FC got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Berart. Tostão Ceresso hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Marciano Idacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Sabino Valverde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, Pretorianos FC's Marciano Idacio got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 72 minutes Pretorianos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pretorianos FC's Marciano Idacio did a great save. 77 minutes into the game, Sabino Valverde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabino Valverde in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santiago Valery was slow to take the kick. During this time Pretorianos FC's players had a chance to rest.
